Matthew and Gunnar Nelson were never cool, even when their “(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection” hit No. 1 in 1990, but who would have guessed that the lion-maned twinkies of hair pop would fall so far? How far? Mesa’s ViewPoint RV & Golf Resort, where Ricky Nelson’s boys pay tribute to their late teen-idol dad.

Nothing against parking-lot living, but wha?! Not so long ago, Matt and Gun were swatting off rabid teens themselves. Now they’re hustling grannies in Winnebagos? Well, give ’em props for keeping the faith even though their core audience is now gumming TV dinners on fold-out porches. But perhaps we’re overstating, ’cause their appeal seems to transcend folks who wear Depends. After this gig, they’re off for a three-night stand at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort.

No, really.
