You could, we suppose, wander around some of the Valley’s more upscale neighborhoods looking for contemporary homes and hoping to bump into the folks who designed and live in them. But why not, instead, head to the Phoenix Contemporary Design Fair, where people who love things stylish and modern go to meet the folks who design and build them?

PCDF is more than just interior decorators, architects, and furniture designers shilling for new clients; it’s about presenting living displays by world-renowned designers, many of whom will be on hand to chat about throw pillows and the importance of a clean line. And, of course, it’s about green, which is everywhere these days, especially at PCDF, where companies like Natural Territory (which creates sustainable furniture and eco-friendly home decorating products) and a.k.a. green (the Valley’s leading supplier of eco-friendly building materials) will set up booths. Other purveyors, like glass artisans Gravity Glas and Scottsdale’s Center of Modern Design, will be promoting prettiness.
